Break of structure vs liquidity sweep

A wick through a prior high that immediately reverses often harvested stops rather than confirmed continuation. A break of structure usually shows acceptance—closes beyond the level and follow-through that leaves the old extreme behind.

Ask what the market did after the pierce. Did price expand away, or did it snap back into the range? That single question prevents many premature flips of bias.

Pair the answer with nearby equal highs or lows. Sweeps into clustered liquidity are common before a genuine character shift in the opposite direction.
